The front verandah and entrance area also had its external support structure put up today, brick work will go around each of these pillars.

Alfresco Area and Entrance
The support structure for the alfresco area went up today. We extended this area quite a lot, it is much wider then the original plans which required a few structural changes to the design of the house.

Visiting the house
Today we were able to walk around the site and see some of the changes, the kids had a ball, here are some pictures.
The roof trusses that went up this week, from inside the house
The four kids looking out of the dining room window
Miss Jennie in her walk in robe imagining the "big decision" about what to where each morning! LOL
Erin sitting on the pipe that will one day be the location of the toilet in the en suite, she already tells us , "I am sitting on the toilet mummy and dadday!"
Laura lying on the floor where she has decided to put her bed in her bedroom.
Jennie, Laura, Luke and Erin at the front door of the house.
The house is moving along very quickly, we are looking forward to seeing what happens this week, the kids are getting very excited.

Frame in daylight
Today we were able to walk through the "inside" of the house during daylight hours, the kids were able to find their own bedrooms, which they were very excited about.
Nobody could catch up with Miss Erin, she was running through the walls because she is the shortest and was able to just go from room to room without following the hallway, nobody could keep up with her, we just kept seeing flashes of pink going past us, she did not stop!
Above is a photo of the entrance to the house taken from the kitchen.
Above is the entrance way and dining room area
Erin stopped just long enough for me to get a quick photo of her in her bedroom.

Frame Construction
The kids wanted to drive past the block late tonight to see the pile of wood that had been delivered this morning, when we got there in the dark we were really excited to see that the frame was virtually up! The chippies did a great job working down there today constructing the frame, we couldn't be happier. DJ and I will head down tomorrow to get some photos in daylight, in the meantime here are some photos that I took tonight on my iPhone. The photos are of the front of the house and the back wall of the garage, the remainder of the garage should go up tomorrow.
Wood Delivery and Porta Dunny
Erin and I went for our morning drive down to the block after we had dropped the other kids off at school. When we got there the wood for the frame had just been delivered. We are not sure which day they will start the frame however, the site manager informed us that it should begin this week and that there may be a possibility of being able to walk through the house on the weekend!
The black strip around the slab is the termite barrier protection that has also gone on this week.

The next picture is just a bit of a joke, amongst some friends, we have been saying that the house really hasn't started properly until the porta dunny has arrived - well here it is! The site manager informed us that it "is a great one, brand new and really clean!" LOL

Exploring the slab to find those footprints....
Hey Philipp and Janina, this one is for you - surprisingly it is August here in Australia as well :-)
After a very busy time with the family we are finally getting the blog updated so that we can follow all of the progress as things seem to be moving very quickly at the moment.
I am just about up to date, here are a few cute pictures of the kids exploring the slab.
Erin thought it was great running around on the slab, and today it was actually completely dry. The search began to find her footprints ......
Here they are, Erin's footprints on the edge of the alfresco area.
Even funnier here is Luke's footprint, he was trying to save Erin from jumping onto the slab last night and in the process he left his mark also - very funny!
A nice photo to end the day of Laura and Erin resting on the edge of the family room, after all of their exploring.
